at the University of the Sciences, she participated in the planning and implementation of the campus Internet connection, was responsible for bringing up the institution’s website, developed policies for campus computer laboratories, created training programs for faculty and staff, brought the Teaching and Learning Technology Roundtable to the campus (and chaired it for a number of years), and oversaw the selection and launching of the learning management system. Reporting to her was the campus website, media services, library services, open computer labs, and the front end of the learning management system.

She holds a bachelor’s in education from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s in library and information science from the University of Illinois, as well as completing extensive coursework in instructional technology at Illinois.

Mignon has worked in various kinds of academic institutions, including a community college and a research university in Illinois, a state college in New York, and a small private college in Pennsylvania. She developed successful programs with faculty in each of these settings.

Now a professor emeritus at the University of the Sciences, she has served as a consultant for the Ohio Board of Regents, Higher Education Commission of the Middle States Association, Colorado Department of Higher Education, United States Information Agency, International Healthways, and Ferrilli Information Group.
